Pumpkin Literacy Event Held at Eutaw Primary School
Eutaw Primary School held its first annual Pumpkin Book Decorating Contest on November 30, 2016. Participants were asked to choose one of their favorite books and then decorate a pumpkin to represent that book. They were also asked to submit a book report to go along with their project. The event was a huge success with 75 children participating in grades Pre-Kindergarten through third grade.
Doughnuts for Dad at Eutaw Primary
Over 100 father figures filled Eutaw Primary School's cafeteria for Doughnuts for Dad on November 4th. Eutaw Primary's parental involvement committee coordinated this event to encourage fathers to be involved in their children's education and to recognize fathers for their support and involvement throughout the school year. Fathers and father figures were able to visit classrooms and conversed with their child(ren) as they enjoyed doughnuts and juice. Each student presented their father or father figure with a certificate and a book. Each father was encouraged to set aside a special time to read the book with his child(ren). Eutaw Primary School's faculty and staff would like to express their sincere appreciation to all father figures that participated in this victorious event. Pictured below are some of the father figures that attended the event.
